Will the compressed file still be acceptable for customs and insurers?
The default preset preserves text and vector content losslessly and downsamples images to 150 DPI — readable for human review and most regulatory submissions. Use the 'Light' preset for audit-grade copies or when stamps must stay sharp.
Are my documents uploaded?
No. Compression runs entirely in your browser. The file you started with is the only copy that exists outside the page until you save the output yourself.
When should I send Remo&Co the originals instead?
When the recipient is a tax authority, a court, or an insurer requesting evidence — they typically want originals, not compressed copies. Use this tool for everyday client/carrier sharing where the email size cap is the actual constraint.
